Who here has heard of vermiculite?! Apparently my in-laws and apparently vermiculite is not the best insulation out there, being that the vermiculite in our house-to-be was over 100 years old. It's a chunk-like mineral that is poured into the wall cavities and expands with heat. But it's old and supposedly has asbestos in it and isn't very efficient. Who knows how sky-high our heating bill would be! So, another house bites the dust. This one was definitely the hardest to let go - it had gorgeous Brazilian redwood floors, beautiful tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms, gorgeous tile backsplash in the kitchen and way too many other yummy details. Ohhh, the drama of finding a house. I will from now on bite my tongue until we have a finalized purchase agreement. :)
I really want to subscribe to Country Living Magazine. Anybody else read it? It's awesome! But I'm hemming and hawing, wondering if I should wait til we move (someday) because I hate having to deal with the whole 'change of address' thing. Hmmm, my patience is wearing thin...
And what about this snow!? I want to go get the Christmas tree right now! Way too early, I don't know what to do with myself.
