gracefulness is overrated

am i right? right? anyone?

just kidding.

i aspire to grace and poise and balance...but it's just not my style.

my style is tripping on invisible divots in the floor, knocking my knees on whatever piece of furniture is closest, etc.

i like to think it's my charm... ;)

i always have a bruise or two scattered here and there 24/7. just the other day i woke with two bruises on my right arm, positioned conspicuously along veins but i honestly don't know the last time i was poked with a needle.  i'm just a klutz, a tangle of arms and legs.

as a matter of fact: yesterday i spilled a cup of strawberry ensure on my med cart (ewww), i snagged my last two toes coming barefoot around the corner at home (petra attempted to lick my wounds, what a sweetie) and i banged my elbow on the heavy, sound-proof med room door at work. i can't rest my elbow on anything today, too tender.

does anyone else have this problem?
:)

case in point:

circa 1987
i just can't help myself

so here's to: many more thresholds to trip on, glasses to break and falling out of the hammock.

p.s. i haven't broken a bone yet. :)

you're just so accident prone, sis! i enjoyed reading about your injuries, though! something to laugh about because there's such a ridiculous amount!

YES, I HAVE THIS PROBLEM!!! It's exactly me, as well! I think I hit my head 3 separate times this weekend in the same spot. And then a couple weeks ago, Ben took me to a mountain bike park, which I was nervous about because of the clumsyness. I tripped on a log, while walking my bike, scarring up my back.
And YES, it is part of the charm :)

haha, yes melanie i seem to remember a late night escapade of ours, delivering frozen mystery meat to our 'neighbors' and diving into the underbrush when the sensor light came on. was i the only one that woke up the next morning covered in poison ivy?

Oh, I am SO like this!!! I'm constantly covered with bruises, and can rarely even remember where they came from! Glad I'm not the only one. ;)
