first day of school! first day of school!

remember the first day of school? a la 'finding nemo'? 

that was my mantra while i was taking josh's mug this AM as he was about to head out the door for his first day of school first day at his new job. he was less than thrilled with my antics. 

we are in an 'excessive heat advisory', so no tie and dress shirt today. ahh, well - i think i am gonna really enjoy seeing my man all spiffed up everyday.

as for the rest of us, we are staying in today. i already harvested a few things from the garden this morning and  i think i will spend much of the day hulling strawberries to freeze. and maybe enjoy a fruit smoothie, or a root beer float for breakfast. gotta enjoy the ice cream for breakfast while there's nobody around to say i can't (aka no little ones underfoot to hide it from).
