| for my birthday i received the first snow. i remember walking down the hall at work that morning, excited to see the first few flurries starting up. i love the first snow - it's seeing a new world when you look out the window. what had once been brown and drab is now clean and new. after my initial excitement i took a few moments to reflect and remember that i'm not always excited for all 6 months of it. by the end of winter i am usually bursting at the seams - ready for some warm, fresh air. but then another thought came to mind. my son (my son!) will be born in this snow. before i see the grass again i will have a wee babe to hold in my arms. and that will make a wonderful winter indeed. |

I can't wait for that little baby boy to come! We loved the first snow too, except we needed to rake one last time! lol, hopefully it melts so I can!
