favorite find

rummage sales, they pose a challenge in the clothing department due there being no fitting rooms. if the price is reasonable i will take the chance. thankfully a few dollars was in my budget this time. may i present the most awesome vintage red cow-hide pencil skirt.

guess i gotta wash the mirror now

it still has the tags on it and the previous owner was a 70 year old trendy avon lady. i could totally see her rockin' leather back in the day. 

such as the way with leather skirts - i need to wiggle into it but in this manner it fits in a more becoming way. i couldn't pull off a baggy leather skirt. i hope to keep this piece in my closet for years to come and pass it onto our little girl someday. even if she just wants to use it for dress-up.

i am reminded of this post and skirt by favorite fashion blogger veronika. i adore her style and how it has evolved over the years.

now to figure out where to wear it! might be a little much for applebee's or pacific wok. suggestions?
