movie snob and halloween gob

Since being married, my hubby has made me a big fan of Rotten Tomatoes, a movie review site. And while I am not a true movie snob (I love the occasional dud as much as anybody else) I have come to trust it. Try it! You may come to love it. It has proven itself valuable time and time again. But this does not mean I didn't waste my money at the theater to see "The Time Traveler's Wife" (which I cried my eyes out to, by the way). There are some movies you just have to see, no matter how bad anybody says they are. But if you are on the fence wondering if you should waste your time and money on a flick, Rotten Tomatoes is the way to go!

Halloween par-tay the other night, would you like to see our get-ups? And a few pics of our hostess' amazing treats!
Popeye and Olive Oyl
spiderweb chip dip and almond finger cookies
pumpkin barfing up his yummy guts
the hosts' pumpkin art
What else is new - Josh called me from work the other day and said he had picked up a little something for my birthday and didn't want to wait to give it to me. He said 'don't go perusing the Target ad in case it was in there, and don't get too excited.' When he got home he took me out to the trunk of his car to show me ding from where somebody had backed into him, opened the trunk and there was my Crosley Record Player! He played it off like a pro, and I'm sure it helps that I'm a sucker! So I have been enjoying me some good vinyls.

One more thing, Christmas is coming! And I can't help but be drawn into the bustle and cheer already. My husbands' side starts making their Christmas lists in early October, something that I am beginning to get used to. My side has three birthdays in November, so when I was young we never even thought about Christmas until late November (at least I didn't). Anywho, Christmas presents are starting to be stashed away and I can hardly wait for the holiday season and who can forget Black Friday? Not me! Woohoo!

Oh my goodness!!! Those treats are crazy!!! The spider web, the "fingers," and I especially like the pumpkin barfing up his guts. How creative! :)
