Friday morning 1AM, Josh has to get up at 2:30AM:
I wake to "Dear! The pillow's leaking!" Flip the light on as I grab my hubby's Chiroflow waterbase pillow and turn it over. The cap appears to be closed all the way but I loose it to try and realign the threads. As I attempt this the pillow is laying flat in front of me and when I begin to unscrew the cap a flood of water rises up in my lap. Uh-oh. Before I can say anything I am sitting in a puddle of water that can not be ignored to procure a few more hours of sleep. Initially Josh is very disgruntled but is able to reign himself in as he sees how his poor wife was only attempting to save the day. Alas, we had to strip the whole bed - including mattress pad, which did not leak onto the mattress pad I might add! Redress the bed and crawl back into it for a fitful couple of hours.
Fast forward to lunch time:
Out to a buffet with the in-laws. Said buffet has delicious popovers with honey butter on the side. Little does my brother-in-law know of this flavored butter. I sit down at the table to find his garlic/chive/bacon mashed potatoes dripping in honey-butter goodness. Can't help but laugh as he is disgusted to find that it isn't just good ol' home-churned butter.
Scene three:
Can't even begin to fully describe the third and most hilarious scenario of the day - due to my hubby's privacy. :) But I will say it involved relieving himself in the empty powerade bottle while waiting for the realtor to show up at the showing we had to day. And laughing my head off because of his anxiety over the situation. I just couldn't help myself. Oh one of the million reasons why I love being married to Josh! We have fun!
We recapped these stories at supper and laughed our butts off - but this may have been because we were exhausted and getting by on 4 hours of sleep. At that point anything seems blog-worthy!
