So, this last weekend my hubby reached the quarter of a century mark. Ahhhck! Time flies. Took him out for his favorite Mexican on Friday. Saturday we had the family over for a joint birthday party with his sister who turns 22 tomorrow. Biggest gathering we had so far at our house. Now, I run cold and hubby runs hot so we have compromised with our thermostat set at 70F (even then he is always sporting shorts in the house). But it was seriously roasting at 74F on Friday night with all the company. It was wonderful, I actually had to take off my slippers!
Anywho, back to the party. I, Jaclyn, made my first cake of my adult life! Out of a box mind you. See we are not big cake eaters and nobody ever finishes the storebought cake. So I didn't really want to waste $15 on a sheetcake from Sam's. Please observe the Betty Crocker goodness.
Please ignore the mustard yellow walls of our dining room, we have yet to paint. But you can observe the adorable siblings pictured below. They are too cute and they are good friends.
Well, that's all folks. Good night.
