bookworm

one of my all-time favorite books is "a tree grows in brooklyn". it's a simple story of a life. there is not much of a plot - no rising action, climax or denouement. it simply tells snippets of francie nolan's life and i love it. a wonderful quote about happiness from the end of the book.

people always think that happiness is a faraway thing, something complicated and hard to get. yet, what little things can make it up; a place of shelter when it rains - a cup of strong hot coffee when you're blue; for a man, a cigarette for contentment; a book to read when you're alone - just to be with someone you love. those things make happiness.

very true, i always have to remind myself in those moments of happiness to - be in the moment, soak it up, because this is your life. enjoy the small things.

like picnic lunches and napping in a sunny spot. :)
