we're having a boy. hurrah! a snugly little lad.
now begins the battle of what we will name him. i've found the greatest place to brainstorm names is not in books but in cemeteries. i stumbled upon a great one the other night while making our way through the city cemetery, but i have yet to win josh over. we may need to make another walk-through. :)
i don't have much to say for my absence. we've been keeping busy with fall, josh's new job/hours, the animals and life.
i have been enjoying the little details that come with growing a belly - josh's outstretched hand helping me up from a sitting position, secret smiles from old ladies at the grocery, and constant thumping from my womb.
i've also reached the point of seeing a giggling baby and wanting our own little one right now! but i will turn right around and start crying in sheer terror of being responsible for someone other than myself and the changes that accompany it. i suppose it comes with the territory.

| on the way to our friends' house for dinner - my belly, along with some homemade banana bread, pumpkin bars and the best card game ever |
i've been carefully constructing a fall inspired wreath for the front door. to the tune of <$10. i have a few finishing touches to make yet. but it was inspired by my friend tiffany's wonder. is hers' not impeccably beautiful?
i think i've finally decided on the perfect hue for our little man's room.
any tips for getting the musty smell out of old clothes? i've been going through the tubs of my hubby's baby clothes along with some thrifted finds and i just can't seem to get the smell out. i can't wait to dress our little guy in some of his papa's old duds.
and some bummer news. they found e-coli in our city water today. so we are restricted to boiling it or bottled water for most daily uses until further notice. i just boiled a pot on the stove and placed a glass of it in the freezer to chill. my sweet neighbor called just minutes after i had placed the pot to boil on the stove to make sure we were aware - what with baby and all.

so much exciting news!!!
i can't wait to hear more. :)
i love the picture, your belly is growing and growing!
adorable.
Oh Jaclyn, I love the picture!
I am living vicariously through you :) I hope all is well, I am hoping to write a post soon about working on our house.....can't wait for it to be all done.
so that wreath is amazing. i found one like it only the whole thing was leaves & another one where it was all flat with flowers glued on....this by far is my favorite. i may need to start on a fall and winter one!
oh baby boy! so excited for you.
How exciting that you are having a boy as well :) Boy names are soooo hard! Enjoy :)
thanks katie! hope you are having a great fall break.
sarah - i can't wait for more house updates, it's gonna be fantastic!
natie - i pinned the same leafy wreath you are talking about, i love it. but the leaves have been the most time-consuming part of this project so i'm glad i'm not 'leaf-ing' the whole wreath.
jessica - that's funny about the names, i am having an easier name finding boy names i like. it's just a matter of us agreeing on one.
I like this too. But I think we definitely need more baby belly pictures. :)
