i got an antique reverse painting bubble glass picture of the palace in versailles with some christmas cash. i had been dreaming about it ever since we saw it while antiquing on my birthday. and what do you know my patience paid off - when i sent to see if it was still there post christmas it was even 20% off. it's frame is gold.

i'm not afraid of gold. my wedding/engagement ring has a yellow-gold band. :)
