the long winter ahead

the holiday season is winding down and we are bundling up inside trying to stay warm in the sub-zero temperatures. although at this very moment josh is out in the unheated garage assembling our new gas grill! we are having company for steak and chicken tonight. mm-mmm. i'm thinking veggie pizza for an appetizer and for dessert we are going to stuff them with the rest of our christmas cookies. :)

i spent most of the morning untangling 9 strands of vintage christmas lights from my grandpa, luckily only one strand doesn't work. i washed them and will be packing them away in one of my antique trunks from my grandma. pictures to come!

looking forward to using some of my christmas cash to invest in a bird feeder to lure some chickadees in. they are darling. i'm sure link will love to watch them too.
