this is the time of year i don't mind getting up early for work. first blush. when the trees are just starting to appear on the horizon as i back the car down the driveway. the dawn breaks through in oranges and blues as i ride along gazing in the rear view mirror at the sunburst appearing behind me. these are the times i enjoy a longer commute through farmland, when the birds are singing to meet the springy dew and i am in awe of the rebirth and novelty of every luminous morning. fog is still resting on the ponds and the roads are largely deserted. these are the mornings i coast along with my acoustic playlist and my peach tea and a smile for my co-workers as we greet the day.
p.s. i updated my about me. :)

jaclyn--this could be turned into a poem. you do an awesome job with your use of words. i could picture everything in my mind.
cold or hot peach tea? sounds yummy.
thank you katie. i did my best to describe the wonderful drive i have in the summer. thesaurus.com has become a real friend of late - a very useful tool when the right word eludes me. hot peach tea with honey.
I have an early morning commute, too, and one of my favorite things is watching the light change the landscapes I'm passing. Lovely word-capture.
Also (regarding an earlier post of yours), I LOVE Mexican Village! I grew up outside of St. Cloud, and my friends and I would go there all the time. It's so fun to read about the adventures of another Minnesotan. :)
