yesterday

my birdfeeder started yielding results yesterday

this little guy was quite the personality and was driving me bonkers. for every seed he ate he dropped 2-3 on the ground, and i don't think it was because he was looking out for his scavenging friends below. he's just messy! ah well, i think the birds below were appreciative.

i took a nap in the hammock, complete with stocking hat and a real good snuggle with the blanket. it was heavenly.

lately i've been reading back in the archives of dear baby and i'm smitten. definitely a blog favorite. for a girl who three days ago would have told you she was seriously pondering returning to school and not being done for two years, yesterday i turned a complete 180 and was ready for a baby right then and there. you simply must read it! melissa is such a talented writer, she is able to translate into words what i know so many mothers feel as they watch their little ones grow. it makes me ache with excitement at the idea of being a mother someday, not to mention i love melissa's vintage style.

but as i said, yesterday i NEEDED a baby (you could also attribute it to a serious case of PMS, i didn't even realize how erratic i was til josh got home). lately i can't walk through target without listening to the sampler of jewel's lullaby cd. clips of matthew mcconaughey talking about the joy his children bring him while he's a guest on 'the ellen degenres show' send me over the edge. traipsing through the thrift store i can't leave without three favorite children's' books. i see a woman cuddling a baby on the streetcorner and all i want to do is put my nose to it's sweet head and breathe deep that baby smell.

don't take this as an announcement that we're expecting or any such thing. just know that when rummage sale season hits this year you will find me searching out baby goods even though i don't foresee a baby anytime soon. :)

How about you come visit me and snuggle my baby? Sounds like a good idea to me... :)

random question:
how do you get a new font applied to your WHOLE blog. You don't have to go through and do every individual page, do you?

Thanks for the tip about Dear Baby. Such a lovely blog! At this point I go back and forth, a lot. I cry when I listen to cheesy country songs about babies, but then I get so nervous when I think about actually having one. Who knows what will happen!

go to design.
template designer.
pick advanced.
choose page and then choose the font.
that should work. :)

I love you dear, you are so cute! Is it ok for me to say that on your blog?
