we've been having gorgeous weather round these parts of late. josh and i took a bike ride last night and there was just enough breeze to make it heavenly.
i worked the weekend after having 8 days off last week and it was a lovely weekend indeed. i've started telling my residents about the baby and it has been so much fun. a few of my old maids have been so darling, thanking me for making them 'grandmothers'. i will definitely be bringing baby in to meet them when i am on maternity leave.
the nursery is still in disrepair and i know we have plenty of time to work on it, but josh and i had the pleasure of assembling our crib on saturday night. baha, we do not work well together when we assemble furniture or other goods from a box, two words 'constant bickering'. but we are able to acknowledge our differences and still finish the project together. ahh, i love him.

| i brought home this rocking chair from my parent's house. they bought it the day i was born. it has yet to make it upstairs to the baby room but has been getting considerable use in the living room. last night josh was reading in it and broke out with a funny comment to me, 'i can move at the same time! this is perfect.' for those who do not know my husband he is a mover - phone calls are made while pacing the floors and we can't watch movie without him getting up at least 2-3 times. i wouldn't call it fidgety but he has always been busy (since childhood i am told) and i just hope only one of our children inherit these tendencies - i would certainly be kept on my toes. we shall see. |

last night i was laying in bed on my side and felt a light but incessant tapping for several minutes. i'm pretty sure it wasn't gas because i could feel my my insides shifting in other regions of my stomach. it was unlike any sensation i've had before. i think (hope) it was baby going to town on the inside of my womb! when i shifted positions i couldn't feel it any longer. i will be on the lookout in the next couple of days to see if it happens again.
happy monday everyone!

love both pictures. link looks so comfy in the rocker!...i would frame that picture....it's beautiful!
p.s. i can't wait to see pictures of baby's room. my parents have a rocking chair just like that, they used it when we were babies. it reminds me a lot of the one you have.
